Kanok Boriboonsomsin

Kanok Boriboonsomsin has over 20 years of research and development experience in the areas of sustainable transportation, transportation energy and emissions, and transportation decarbonization with a focus on the medium-duty and heavy-duty sector. His research is aimed at quantifying the impacts of freight transportation at the local, regional, and national scales, as well as developing and evaluating strategies to mitigate those impacts. Dr. Boriboonsomsin currently serves as the Vice Chair of the Environmental Justice and Goods Movement Subcommittee under the Air Quality and Greenhouse Gas Mitigation Standing Committee of the Transportation Research Board (TRB). He is also a member of the TRB’s Urban Freight Transportation Standing Committee.
