Impact of Improved Air Quality During the 1996 Summer Olympic Games in Atlanta on Multiple Cardiovascular and Respiratory Outcomes

Professor of Epidemiology, Department of Environmental and Radiological Health Sciences, Colorado State University, and the Colorado School of Public Health

Jennifer Peel has a PhD and an MPH in epidemiology. She is an environmental epidemiologist with a focus on air pollution, including ambient air pollution and household air pollution from indoor cooking in lower- and middle-income countries. She has led multiple projects evaluating interventions aimed at reducing exposure and improving health. Dr. Peel is a deputy editor for the journal Environmental Health Perspectives and recently served as a member of the 2021 US EPA Clean Air Scientific Advisory Committee (CASAC) Particulate Matter Review Panel and the 2022 CASAC Ozone Review Panel.
