Detailed review finds strong links between adverse health effects and traffic pollution

A comprehensive new scientific review released today finds growing confidence in the links between several adverse health effects and traffic-related air pollution (TRAP). The review, the largest of its type to date, was conducted by a panel of thirteen renowned experts who evaluated 353 scientific reports published between 1980 and 2019 on traffic pollution and related health effects.

In this webinar, HEI presented the findings of its 2022 critical review on the health effects of traffic-related air pollution, which is the largest systematic effort to date to evaluate the epidemiological evidence regarding the associations between long-term exposure to TRAP and selected adverse health outcomes.
