Gregory Wellenius

Professor, Department of Environmental Health, Boston University School of Public Health and Director, BUSPH Center for Climate and Health

Gregory Wellenius is focused on understanding and reducing the health harms posed by continued climate change. His research has contributed to scientific understanding of the health risks associated with ambient and indoor air pollution, noise pollution, and heat and other extreme weather events. Wellenius co-leads the BU School of Public Health–Harvard T.H. Chan School of Public Health Climate Change and Health Research Coordinating Center, funded by the National Institutes of Health; serves as a visiting scientist at Google; and works closely with the Extreme Heat Resilience Alliance. He received an ScD in environmental health and epidemiology from the Harvard T.H. Chan School of Public Health.
