Abinaya Sekar
Consulting Research Fellow
Dr. Abinaya Sekar is an Air Quality Scientist whose work focuses on air quality, health, and regulatory policy analysis in South Asia. Since joining the Health Effects Institute (HEI) in 2023, she has been involved in the synthesis of scientific evidence, strengthening research capacity, and collaborating with local partners across South Asia. Abinaya has a strong interest in science communication related to air quality and health. Prior to joining HEI, she worked with the Centre for Policy Research, New Delhi, India. She holds a Ph.D. in Occupational Exposure to Air Pollution from the National Institute of Technology Calicut, India.
