Now accepting abstracts for two annual conference opportunities
Apply for the 2026 Jane Warren Award to Present Research at HEI’s Annual Conference in Chicago, Illinois April 26-28, 2026
Note that we are now accepting abstract submissions for poster presentations at our Annual Conference April 26-28, 2026 in Chicago, Illinois. The conference is open to all, no prior work with HEI is required to attend and be a part of the HEI community.
HEI is seeking research that explores air pollution and health, including multipollutant exposures and health estimation, air toxics, non-tailpipe emissions and health effects, environmental exposures and neurological disorders in older adults, case studies on science-based actions to improve air quality and health, challenges and solutions related to intermodal freight and goods movement, applications of satellite-derived air pollution data in health studies, and innovative methods such as quantitative bias analysis in environmental health research.
Apply for the Jane Warren Award
HEI invites graduate students and postdocs based in the United States, to apply for the Jane Warren Award, which provides financial support to attend and present research at HEI’s Annual Conference 2026 in Chicago, Illinois. As in previous years, the Jane Warren Award will be offered to 3 local Chicago area researchers and 3 researchers based anywhere in the United States. The award will cover registration costs for all candidates and travel/ accommodations costs for the three non-local winners.
Winners will present their work in a lightning talk and poster session during the conference. Awardees will be selected on a competitive basis, upon review of the application and proposed abstract.
