Apply to be a mentor in HEI's 2026 Summer Fellowship Program

HEI is excited to announce that mentor applications are now being accepted for our Summer 2026 Fellowship Program, designed to support highly qualified undergraduate students who would not otherwise have a similar opportunity. Applications for mentorship are due by October 24, 2025.

We invite members of the HEI community working at research institutions or organizations to apply to serve as mentors and hosts for undergraduate students during the summer of 2026. As a mentor, you will provide students with valuable training, experience, and exposure to the field while contributing to the development of the next generation of environmental health scientists.

Next summer, we expect to select 5 or more fellows and match each with a mentor for a 10-week, full-time research opportunity in areas like bench science, data analysis, fieldwork, and modeling.

This program is presented in partnership with International Society for Environmental Epidemiology (ISEE) and International Society of Exposure Science (ISES), and is generously sponsored by the American Chemistry Council and individual donors.
